Paying homage to both US and UK cultures, the collaborative project draws on traditional British wax jackets and early outdoor garments from the Pacific East, and is crafted from waxed Japanese cotton twill with insulating goose down to ensure wearers are kept warm during the colder months.
Elsewhere, military-inspired detailing arrives in the form of nylon easy-pull waist adjusting cords, chest and neck loops—referencing old school fishing gear—and strategic snap buttons.
Cut to a relaxed silhouette with set-in sleeves at the front and raglan at the revers, the jacket also takes a page out of Bodega’s playbook, basing itself around around a Japanese mil spec ripstop liner and elastic storm cuffs, to offer a skeleton which ensures both a classic look and compromising body temp.
Rounded out with corduroy and heavy check flannel detailing, each boutique has also designed two embroidered Velcro patches which can be interchanged at various placement points.
