Everton vs Chelsea live stream: How to watch Premier League fixture online and on TV tonight

News other

Chelsea begin their Premier League season at Everton tonight after a busy summer of transfer business for Thomas Tuchel’s side.

The Blues have signed Raheem Sterling, Kalidou Koulibaly, Carney Chuckwuemeka and on Friday announced the transfer of Brighton’s Marc Cucurella in a £62m deal.

Everton have been preparing for their first full season under Chelsea legend Frank Lampard, who will again face off against his former side.

A 1-0 win for Everton over Chelsea in May proved crucial as the Toffees avoided relegation, but they face another battle to stay up this year with Richarlison gone and Dominic Calvert-Lewin set to miss the first weeks of the season.

Here’s everything you need to know.

Confirmed line-ups

Everton: Pickford; Godfrey, Mina, Tarkowski; Patterson, Doucoure, Iwobi, Mykolenko; Gordon, Gray, McNeil

Chelsea: Mendy; Azpilicueta, Silva, Koulibaly; James, Kante, Jorginho, Chilwell; Mount, Havertz, Sterling

Everton: 5/1

Draw: 16/5

Chelsea: 4/6

Everton will work hard but look to be a very limited team that is not ready for the new season. Chelsea have hardly had the best preparations either but you can usually rely on their defence and Everton should not pose too many problems without a striker. Raheem Sterling could get the winner in a tight opening win for the Blues. Everton 0-1 Chelsea
