Some absolutely sweet song dedications – Chico Enterprise-Record

News other

At times time I like to quote song lyrics to either make a point or give some flavor to one.  My go-to preference is Bob Dylan, and is so noted for all lyrics hence forth:

I bestow these lyrics to the likes of Senators Cruz and Johnson, Representatives Gohmert and Marjorie “Traitor” Greene: “Idiot wind, blowing through the corners of your mouth, blowing down the backroads heading south. Idiot wind, blowing every time you move your teeth, you’re an idiot babe, it’s a wonder that you still know how to breathe.”

To Rupert Murdoch and Mitch McConnell:  “That man whom with his fingers cheats, and who lies with every breath; who eats but is not satisfied, who hears but does not see, who falls in love with wealth itself, and turns his back on me.”

To the Republican Party and the corporations that feed their reckless power: “There must be some way out of here, said the joker to the thief, there’s too much confusion, I can’t get no relief. Businessmen, they drink my wine, plowmen dig my earth, none of them along the line know what any of it is worth.”

Without further ado I dedicate to that whiney 4 year-old former that wandered the halls of the people’s house, screaming at the TV while stealing the American taxpayers’ money, a lyric so apropos, from me to him: “Well, anybody can be just like me, obviously, but then, now again, not too many can be like you, fortunately.”
